1. HEALTH & SAFETY
GENTAS adopts the principle of taking protective and preventive health and safety measures.
For this reason, it conducts observations and evaluations in order to identify corporate health and safety hazards and evaluate health risks.
- It aims creating a healthy and safe workplace for everyone,
- suitable and adequate lighting and ventilation,
- access to potable water and sanitation,
- prevention of work accidents, work-related injuries and occupational diseases,
- and providing appropriate and adequate fire safety measures and facilities.
In addition, it has defined the responsibilities and duties of all GENTAS employees in order to provide a healthy and safe work environment in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Our responsibilities;
- Everyone has the right and responsibility to come to the workplace appropriately and work safely.
- All employees are responsible for working in accordance with the laws and Gentas rules and principles.
- Regardless of our hierarchical level, each of us is responsible for establishing and maintaining workplace safety while doing our job.
- No matter where we work in the company, we are aware that our decisions and actions can affect our personal health and the health of others.
Our duties;
- To prioritize safety in every decision and every action taken.
- Identifying, assessing and controlling hazards.
- Taking responsibility for our own actions. To be in contact with each other and to apply the trainings in order to prevent possible dangers (accidents and missed accidents).
- Obtaining information from employees and employee representatives on issues that may affect employee health and safety.
- Trainings to eliminate workplace accidents and occupational diseases and reduce risk, participating in work practices, using tools and equipment.
- To set goals and objectives that will increase competition, to monitor performance, to reward success and to strive for continuous improvement of health and safety performance and management system.
2. ENVIRONMENT
- GENTAS believes in the necessity of protecting the world we live in for all livings and adopts the principle of clean production with this awareness. It aims and monitors the continuous improvement of environmental performance.
- The production process of the laminate products is adapted according to contact with the environment.
- All raw materials used for the production of laminates are purchased exclusively from suppliers having ISO 9002 certification, and the Kraft papers exclusively from FSC® (FSC-C-105684) certified producers.
- Cleaning of air and water is effectively protected in the area of production department.
- All gases coming from impregnation and pressure machines are absorbed and destroyed in a special steam boiler. All these processes are controlled by the technical team and supervised by the relevant authorities.
- Our Kraft paper contains recycled paper in a significant percentage (about 20%), and our decorative papers do not contain any of the following materials:
- Cadmium
- Chromium Hexavalent
- Lead
- Mercury
- Polybrominated Biphenyl (PBB)
- Polybrominated Diphenyl Ether (PBDE)
- The resulting wastes after production process are effectively processed in the plant.
- Gentas will not hesitate to continue to implement all necessary processes to ensure the best environmental performances needed.
3. WORK LIFE
GENTAS adopts the principle of respecting the rights of all individuals with a sense of responsibility in an ethical framework.
